While working as a plastic fabricator I took advantage of the materials and tools at my disposal in order to make myself a small computer desk for my then new flat. I just thought I could design something better than what was on the market in my price range.

Initially I wanted the structure to accommodate my computer, printer and scanner however after early use the printer and scanner were dropped and stored elsewhere.

Acrylic laminates are held together with countersunk bolts which rest on laminated plywood supports to provide greater strength. 3 stainless steel rods form the main structure, tapped and clamped with a top acrylic section. Frosted acrylic tubes acts as a cable tidy to carry cables away from the work surface.

Large laminated plywood footprint gives the unit strength, stability and a tactile surface to rest one’s feet.
